*Veteran producer Angela White, of Silver Lining Entertainment, is making history with the release of her Faith-based film, “A Question of Faith.” Breaking industry norms, White is the first African-American female producer to have a theatrical Faith-based film. The film will be seen in more than 600 theaters across the country this weekend.

“I have mixed feelings about making history. I’m happy and proud. It’s a lot of work to be done. I realize I have to be more accountable and more responsible for the choices and type of films I make,” says White. “As an African-American, we continuously have to pave the way for other actors.”

“A Question of Faith” is by far one of the most powerful, life-changing films released in 2017. It is a powerful movie that demonstrates the power of faith, forgiveness and redemption and promises to be a favorite among moviegoers. “God’s power is glorified in this film in a way I’ve personally not seen before,” says White. “Audiences will find themselves cheering, singing, crying and praising God when they watch this film.”

She adds, “There’s a lot of things in the movie and ultimately, we want them to understand the power of forgiveness and understanding God’s love, God’s grace and mercy. And, how that works in your personal life, even when we don’t see it, we have grace. God gives us grace all the time. Even when we can’t see it or realize it, things can be a lot worst,” says White.

“This wonderful film is about tragedy. What do we do when tragedy strikes? When life really gives us a punch in the gut, what do we do? Three families with three different perspectives and how do they work through it. How do you maintain faith? How do they rediscover their faith? How do they work through it?” says actor Greg Alan Williams, in a recent interview on the Red Carpet at the Movie Premiere in Atlanta, GA.

“It was more than a movie, it was a truly sobering, and spiritual awakening!” says Alisha Alford of Glory Sports Consultants in Atlanta, GA.

Written by Ty Manns and directed by Kevin Otto, “A Question of Faith” centers around three families from different cultures who live in the same community. They are complete strangers living vastly separate lives until a texting and driving accident thrusts them onto converging paths where they discover love, forgiveness, grace, and mercy.
Along with a message of faith, the storyline touches on racial prejudice, the consequences of texting and driving, and addresses the debate surrounding organ donation.

A two-month long, extensive casting process took place in Atlanta. White quickly fell in love with the actors in Atlanta and discovered a lot of new talent. Each one of the talented, multi-cultural cast members bring something special to the film. “We have a lot of newcomers that shine in the film. We had an extensive auditioning process in Atlanta,” says White. The cast includes 16 actors from Atlanta and a few Hollywood stars – Richard T. Jones (Tyler Perry’s Why Did I Get Married”). Renee O’Connor (“Xena: Warrior Princess”), Kim Fields (“Facts of Life”, “Living Single”), C. Thomas Howell (“The Amazing Spiderman”, “ET”), Greg Alan Williams (“Greenleaf”, “All Saints”) with Faith-based Favorites T.C. Stallings (War Room, “Courageous”), and Jaci Velasquez (“I’m Not Ashamed,” Platinum Christian Recording Artist).

Veteran actress Kim Fields is excited about the film. She says this is the first time she starred in a faith-based film of this magnitude. “The film is so relatable and the issues that go on in the movie are some of the same issues we face in life,” says Field. “What drew me to the film was the role. The character I play really stretched me out as an actress. When they offered me this role and movie, I thought I would breathe life into this character.”

She adds, “I think most projects are reflections of what’s going on. I hope people see themselves and current events that we are working through as a society, and that they would make positive decisions as they navigate through difficult or challenging situations.”

“It was a tremendous time on set working with these fantastic actors and everyone turned into tour de force performances,” says Fields.

Film critics are comparing “A Question of Faith” to “War Room”. “People are comparing “A Question of Faith” to “War Room” because “War Room” broke barriers. That was the first movie with an African-American lead cast that broke over $60 million. The movie transcend their life, taught them how to pray, help marriages mend. We have some similarities. We have African-American leads as well. “War Room” transcended people’s personal lives and their family,” says White.

“When you see, “A Question of Faith”, it’s going to transcend your life. You’re going to have a softer heart. You’re going to maybe step back and realize you may not know why a person is coming at you a certain way because you don’t know what’s going on in their personal life. You might have more compassion for your fellow man as a result. We’re going to deal with racial reconciliation. Starting to understand we’re all one people. So, I think when they see “A Question of Faith”, they will feel that this is a film that will cross all color lines, genders, even religion, so that’s why we are getting some comparisons to “War Room”. And, not just to “War Room”, but to “Compassion of Christ.” That’s the most comparison we are getting,” says White in a recent interview.

Although White is a veteran producer, there’s a lot more in store for Silver Lining Entertainment. Some of White’s former work includes “#WhereIsBeauty, ” “The Cheaters Club aka Busted,” “The Sin Seer,” “Who Can I Run To,” “My Favorite Five,” “The Comedy Underground Series,” “The Night Before aka Bachelors,” “4Play,” “My Sister’s Wedding,” “The Last Letter,” “Redemption of a Dog,” “After Effect,” and “C’mon Man”.

So, what’s around the corner for Angela White? “Angela White is now finally ready to do our next Faith-based feature film. That’s what Silver Lining Entertainment does. We produce feature films, and we are gearing up for our next faith-based film. This is an underserved market and a lot of people are just yearning for content. So, there’s no way I can walk away from “A Question of Faith” and not try to serve this market. And, it impacted me personally doing this film. So, I would rather do movies that are impacting people that are affecting people emotionally, spiritually, and physically. So, that is kind of my new directive right now — to continue on this path,” says White.
